Halls won the first game of a two-game set on Monday evening on The Hill with a 6-0 win over the Campbell County High School baseball team.
The Cougar bats managed just one hit all game against Halls’ pitching at Brown-Archer Field.
Halls scored two runs in the first, one run in the second, two more in the third and another in the fourth to lead 6-0, going into the bottom of the fourth inning.
But from there, it was a scoreless game.
Halls scored six runs on eight hits, all told.
The Cougars were supposed to play at Halls for the second game of the two-game set last Tuesday evening, but weather delayed the game until the following day, after the Press’ deadline.
Campbell County was still seeking its first win of the season.
