Multiple people were injured in a wreck near the state line that snarled traffic for hours on Monday and overturned a Freightliner.
According to a preliminary report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol, it was a four-vehicle wreck, involving a 2014 Cadillac CTS, a 2024 Freightliner, a 2020 GMC Sierra and a 2015 Dodge Ram 1500.
All four vehicles were traveling north on Interstate 75 in Campbell County near mile marker 156, per the report.
The Cadillac left its lane and hit a guardrail and then swerved into the other lane, per the report.
The Freightliner hit the Cadillac as well as the concrete traffic barrier, which caused the Freightliner to overturn, according to the report.
The Sierra was slowing because of the crash, and the Dodge rear-ended the Sierra, per the report.
Lisa Hatton, 65, of Indiana, who was driving the Cadillac, was injured in the crash, and so was a passenger in that vehicle: Thomas Hatton, 63, of Indiana, according to the report.
No one else was injured in the wreck, per the report.
