The Campbell County High School Lady Cougars tennis team lost 5-4 to Powell at West Hills on Monday evening.
Sydney Lane defeated Aubree Hollowell 8-6 in a back-and-forth matchup between the two number ones for their respective teams.
Bella Lester defeated Savannah Kerns 8-6.
Reagan Stanfill defeated Kiersten Sheppard 8-4.
Addy Terry lost a back-and-forth match with Maddy Chianelli 8-6.
Callie Byrd lost her singles match against Sophie Planos 8-2.
Lester and Stanfill took on Chianelli and Planos in doubles and defeated the duo 9-8 in a marathon match.
Terry and Byrd lost their doubles match against Hollowell and Kerns, 8-4.
Bella Fleming and Jordan Asher dropped their doubles match, 8-2, to Emma Russell and Avery Sharp.
Gavin Cox was the only male Campbell County player to compete, as Powell only has one player on the men’s side.
Cox defeated Iverson Serrano 8-3.
