Jellico High School senior basketball player Carson Bolton competed in the BCAT All-Star Game on Saturday at Blackman High School in Murfreesboro.
“It was a fun experience and great pleasure to get to play against the best players,” Bolton said.
Bolton took part in the Class A-AA all-star game.
“It meant the world to me to be part of the best players in the state,” Bolton said.
After playing the last game of his high school career in the state tournament, Bolton was honored to be able to put on his Jellico jersey one last time.
“For me to be able to say that I am from Jellico and play in a game at that level, it meant so much to me to be able to put on a Jellico jersey one last time,” Bolton said. “I just love being able to represent the title town of Jellico.”
Bolton now has his eyes set on what’s next, after high school.
“I have been thinking a lot about what is next for me, and I think that I am going to go see what the next level of basketball looks like,” Bolton said. But if that doesn’t work out for me, my backup plan is always there.”
Bolton closed by reflecting on his career.
“I will always thank everyone who has helped me make my journey the best,” Bolton said. “Thanks to everyone who has been a part of it.”
